Education

We have worked with the Heritage industry for some combined fourty-four years, presenting Medieval, Tudor, The English Civil War and Victorian history at monuments and castles from Deal Castle in Kent to Pendennis Castle on Cornwall and Yarmouth Castle on the Isle of Wight.

For each educational experience the group is welcomed by accurately clothed presenters.  The historical period, pertinent information and the importance of the historical venue are all first established, after which the group is able to study a wealth of accurate reproduction artefacts, including arms and armour, helmets and everyday items such as pomanders, combs, cups and plates that we bring.

Each visit is individually tailored to the group, relating to the length of time they are

able to spend at the site and their age and ability.  This also influences the extent

of the information discussed.  At all times the group is encouraged to ask questions and to interact with the presenters, who are adept at fielding questions even when a little ‘off topic’.

Interpretation

We have worked on several heritage interpretation projects, reproducing artefacts and constructing costumes to enable the visitor to gain a better understanding of the site or monument. They are able to produce educational programs, trails and worksheets for sites and monuments.
