Real Guns

We have a vast collection of real, working, historically accurate cannon, pistols, hand-cannons, muskets and rifles. All are constructed from cast-iron, bronze or steel, as we do not use glass-fibre covered barrels. All have been proofed to fire both Blackpowder and ball. 

Our only piece,  not completely made of these metals, is a 7 ft long ‘Leather Gun’, made after the style adopted by the 17th Century King of Sweden, Gustavus Adolphus. He used a copper tube, wrapped in rope and encased in leather, to make light manoeuvrable guns. Needless to say, we did not use a copper tube for our Leather gun, ours is made using a fully proofed high tensile steel barrel, which is then bound with rope and covered in leather to give it the authentic appearance. 

If you require a specific gun for a particular project and we do not have it within our stock, we are able to have barrels cast or constructed and the relevant carriages made, all to your project's requirements. 

Please be aware that both ‘live firing ‘and ‘blank firing’ of cannon have very specific safety requirements, that need to be discussed when you contact us.
